How We Source Our Candidates

Just IT uses an annual marketing spend of £200,000 to attract Senior IT Professionals. Our in-house marketing department is used by our clients to target the broadest demographics and spoil them for choice with the unrivalled depth of our candidate base. Operating in tandem with Just IT Training means that we are able to quickly and effectively exploit our economies of scale to find you the right candidates.

Typically, we are able to offer fast turnaround times through the flow of candidates who come to us as a result of our online presence. However, we perform targeted marketing campaigns for clients with refined ‘ideal candidate’ specifications. These campaigns include branded emails, premium vacancy listings and a high-traffic yielding presence across the IT job scene.

Our experience of working exclusively with the IT sector means that we are ideally positioned to understand your needs and to provide high quality solutions to your business. Critically it means that we are in contact with the best candidates for this sector.

We are REC and APSCo members which ensures we work to strict guidelines and industry best practice. In addition our consultants undergo CertRP accreditation – the gold standard in recruitment practice.

Selection Process

Our selection process is simple but highly effective. Each candidate will be:

  • Telephone screened following a CV assessment
  • Interviewed face to face at our offices
  • Reference checked with previous employers
  • Identity checked and assessed for their ability to work in the UK

Recommendation

We are now in a position to make an informed decision as to which candidates are the strongest. Upon this decision we will aim to talk to the liaising member of staff and talk them through the candidate CVs we have decided upon. Upon confirmation of suitability we will arrange interview slots that are convenient for you.

Ultimately, working closely with our clients has produced the greatest results and we have found that the stronger the relationship is the quicker and more effectively the recruitment process runs.

Entry-Level Recruitment

Typically for salaries up to £24k p.a.

The Graduate Recruitment Consulting Department is focused on placing candidates into entry level technical roles; this is mainly within a Technical Support capacity but also extends to Junior Developer/DBA/Business Analyst roles and other high calibre graduates with typical starting salaries of up to £24k dependent on academic qualification.

We are currently a major supplier to several large IT outsourcing businesses that require helpdesk staff with excellent communication skills and a solid technical skill set (desktop troubleshooting/Windows XP/basic server administration).

 

Our Entry-Level Candidates: Pre-Screened By Just IT

Just IT does not rely on database technology or complex software to match candidates with vacancies. Instead, we use people.

We pride ourselves on knowing our candidates very well and are always conscious of the difference between a candidate who is qualified for a role and one who is appropriate for that role. From training many of our candidates over a period of 3 months, and spending considerable time getting to know each one we believe that our relationship with our candidates could not be stronger.

From advertising through Milkround, Hobsons, Prospects (amongst others) and maintaining a large presence at Careers Fairs, Just IT is a recognised brand in the graduate market. Just IT regularly presents at universities to students interested in a career in I.T.

 

All of our candidates:

  1. Have demonstrated their academic ability on their CV and to us in person.
  2. Are passionate about IT - we only place candidates who can demonstrate their desire to work in IT both in and outside the workplace. All of our candidates have invested over £5000
  3. Good communicators - our screening process involves 2 face-to-face interviews and a telephone interview that assesses ability to work within a customer facing environment
  4. Trained professionals - they will have completed the Just IT Network Professional Programme, providing them with certifications in CompTIA A+ Hardware and Operating Systems, MCP Windows XP Professional, MCP Windows 2003 Server, Cisco CCNA & CompTIA Linux+.

Contract Services

The Contract Services Team provides candidates at all levels on a temporary basis to cover a range of eventualities including project work, holiday/sickness cover, headcount restrictions, maternity/paternity leave, skill shortage and seasonal workload fluctuations.

Services are charged for on a daily rate and fees are inclusive of candidate wages, all necessary contributions and agency margin making payment simple and transparent.

We have built up a portfolio of candidates who are looking exclusively for contract work and have the skills to add value to the companies they work for. Our experience in working with Managed Service Providers and available contractors has made us industry leaders in quick-turnaround recruitment without compromising on candidate quality.
