Who does well on a Just IT course?

At Just IT we recognise potential. On the rare occasion someone is not right for our course and we feel we will not be able to help them find a job, we don’t push them into training which won’t benefit them.

To secure a supporting role in IT you need the technical and ’soft’ skills which Just IT can provide, but you also need to have the right attitude to take on the advice and training on-board and use it to realise your potential.

Graduates are the largest group who enrol on Just IT courses, but it doesn’t mean you’re guaranteed to be accepted if you have a degree.

We asked two Just IT Senior Consultants Fran Harker and John Miller to explain: “You can do the course if you’re not a graduate but you need to be exceptionally strong” said John.

“You need to have a hobby interest in computing, be passionate about computers and immerse yourself in technology.” said Fran, “But most importantly you have to want to do it, that’s the first thing we ask.”

“The course is around 80% technical skills; 20% ’soft’ skills, some people are very technical but they don’t know how to sell themselves, we can help them there” added John, “But there are people who can’t communicate very well at all and they will struggle, you can only train people so much, the rest is down to them.”

So, if you think you have the right attitude to get on one of our courses then submit your CV to take your first step towards that guaranteed job in IT, or your money back.
