As a trainer, it’s great to be involved with the government apprenticeship programme! With so much bad press at the moment about rising tuition fees and problems with going to university, it’s fantastic to be able to offer young adults a great alternate opportunity to start their careers for free. Not only that, but also enabling them to gain several globally recognised industry qualifications at the same time!

The enthusiasm that we have seen from our apprentices on the programme so far is second to none. I’ve trained hobbyists and gamers, all the way to those who haven’t even opened a PC case before, with everyone going back to their employers on an equal level.

It’s extremely rewarding to be able to see new skills develop in young adults who are just starting out in their careers.

It’s exciting to think about the potential future opportunities our apprentices with have in one of the UK’s fastest growing Markets.

The skill gaps in IT are well publicised and employers are looking at new ways to find certified and passionate staff to fill those positions. In my personal opinion, this is truly one of the best times to start a career in the technology sector and beat the completion to the market with 2 or 3 years’ worth of experience.

I’m delighted to be a part of this fantastic scheme and look forward to helping many, many more pave the way for their careers in one of the most enjoyable sectors of work out there!
