The Recession has hit some people more severely than others. For those just taking their first steps into industry the fallout can be more severe. Efe Enobakhare, a 24-year-old who had just started one of our training programmes, told us how Just IT helped him.
“It just seemed like the logical step”, said Efe, who graduated from a degree in Electrical Engineering last year, “since about 20% of all engineers move on to some sort of IT-related role anyway.
“I don’t really have much of an IT background but some of the things we are taught are similar, there are plenty of parallels and crossovers.”
Efe managed to find an engineering job in Manchester after he graduated but was made redundant when The Recession hit because the company lost a critical contract and as a graduate he was easiest to lose.
Now he has begun his training with Just IT his dream is to become a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, putting his previous experience to use by combining it with the new skills to get him a job he would never have been able to get with his current skills.
If you fancy a change in career or have been forced to rethink about your existing employment, find out more information about the courses we offer on our IT training page.
