I started my apprenticeship since I wanted to get into the field of data analysis and data science, it was an ideal solution since it would allow me to study whilst working. My other goal was to gain an understanding of the fundamentals of data analysis, data science and associated techniques such as Python, R, SQL, alongside achieving industry standard accreditations.
The apprenticeship blended well with my role at JLL since it was a combination of coursework and classroom-based learning. The 20% off the job was also ideal and was used by blocking out Friday mornings in my diary every week to complete my work. Alongside achieving a distinction within my apprenticeship, I have gained a huge range of new skills which are directly applicable to my job.
I recommend apprenticeships to anyone wanting to learn a new field whilst also continuing to work.
