Position overview

As the public face of the IT Department, the Service Centre provides essential support to various schools within the area. The role provides the opportunity to work within a multi-site situation and develop new skills on the job whilst providing fantastic customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and assist with school visits and IT service tickets.
  • Independently resolve tickets and support other engineers.
  • Maintain a high level of technical knowledge.
  • Lead by example in key technical areas.
  • Write high-quality procedures and client communications.
  • Manage project tickets, including planning, monitoring, and completion.
  • Act as an escalation point for schools and assist colleagues in troubleshooting.

Candidate requirements

  • Possess a full clean driving license.
  • Familiarity with school MIS systems is preferred.
  • Experience with integrating 3rd party applications with school MIS.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Intune for education settings.
  • Knowledgeable in M365 and Google Workspace for education.
  • Skilled in managing Server 2016/2019, including Group Policy, AD, and DNS.
  • Experience with Apple School Manager and MDM solutions like Intune, Lightspeed, Meraki, and Apple Configurator is advantageous.
  • Competent in managing wireless and network systems.

Salary: £23,000 – £26,000 per annum
