Our Client is a privately owned, global private equity investment firm headquartered in Boston. They have been a registered investment advisor since its formation and the firm currently has operating subsidiaries in London, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Beijing, Bogotá, Toronto, Tel Aviv, and Seoul.

The User Support Specialist Apprentice serves as the first point of contact for all technical issues and provides user support to all employees on issues regarding, but not limited to, Windows 7, Windows 10, and core business applications.


  • Troubleshoot workstation operational issues at all of the company global offices
  • Set up and/or move PCs and laptops
  • Maintain and deploy current images
  • Install printers and perform maintenance driver updates
  • Set up and troubleshoot mobile devices
  • Manage and coordinate mobile device distribution
  • Monitor and manage spam solution
  • Perform system recovery of deleted files
  • Perform software installations
  • Respond to user questions and requests for assistance
  • Install and maintain antivirus/antispam solution.
  • Troubleshoot video call issues; work with outside parties to coordinate video call session
  • Create and maintain system documentation for PC setup process including adds, moves and changes, image process and mobile device setup process; monitor inventory of technology equipment and associated usage
  • Evaluate new software packages and install and test prior to distribution


To be an IT User Support Apprentice you will need to be a tech enthusiast with 5 GCSEs (ideally A* – C) including Maths and English.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills., when needed.
  • Superior customer service skills a must.

This 14-month Apprenticeship has a salary of £15,000 / £20,000 per year. You will also receive full training and support from the Just IT Apprenticeship team to increase your skills.

Your training will include gaining internationally recognised Level 3 IT qualifications
