Promoting Apprenticeships Campaign of the Year

We are delighted to announce that Just IT have won Regional Winner in the “Promoting Apprenticeships Campaign of the Year category”, at the prestigious FE Week and AELP Apprenticeship Awards. The awards were announced at a special ceremony in the House of Commons and was sponsored by the chair of the education select committee Robert Halfon.

Our award came from working closely with Central Careers Hub on a campaign across 2016/17 promoting apprenticeship routes within schools. This campaign was part of our larger mission to increase the awareness of Apprenticeships across all sectors (not just digital and IT) as an effective route into employment.

Central Careers Hub is a growing network of careers advisors and provides vital industry knowledge, insights and resources to those delivering careers advice to young people in schools. With Just IT’s help, CCH has been able to deliver a whole range of ‘Careers Events covering each employment sector and informing advisors about the latest job roles and routes into industry – including the options available through Apprenticeships.

Andy Gardner, CEO and Founder of Central Careers Hub, said “It means a lot for us to win the promoting Apprenticeships Campaign of the Year category. We believe that this campaign to promote Apprenticeships within schools has been an innovative and highly successful approach with direct measurable outputs in terms of increasing knowledge of apprenticeships amongst career professionals.”

Shane Mann, the managing director of LSect, the group that runs both FE Week and the awards, said: “I would like to say a huge congratulations to our regional winners recognised today, as well as all the national finalists.

Our panel had a rigorous process for drawing up the shortlist, and identifying the best of the best. It was extremely difficult to do this because we had so many fantastic entrants.”

Following the success of this campaign over the 2016-2017 period, Just IT have made a further investment in Central Careers Hub to continue this effective work in promoting Apprenticeships and other career options within schools.

Following our success at the Regional Awards, Just IT have now been shortlisted for the National AAC Awards which will be announced on 22nd March 2018.
