We celebrated National Apprenticeship Week 2018 by hosting our annual Apprenticeship Awards Event.
Held at BCS London, we celebrated the success of our apprentices and employers with a great range of guests including leading industry figures, and of course the apprentices and employers themselves.
The event was opened by our CEO and founder, Simon Perriton, and featured a number of respected speakers from the apprenticeships industry.
John Pritchard, Head of Apprenticeships at BCS, spoke about the importance of the end point assessment, and the positive story of digital apprenticeships.
Tim Campbell MBE, Bright Ideas Founder and Mayor of London Apprenticeships Ambassador spoke about how crucial IT skills are becoming across all industries, and what a strong choice IT is as a career path.
Graham Hunter, Vice President of Skills Certification at CompTia, spoke on the importance of artificial intelligence in the near future, and the impact automation is likely to have on the global workforce.
Jeremy Crook OBE, CEO of BTEG, spoke on the importance of diversity, and utilising apprenticeships as a tool to create opportunities for BAME applicants.
One of our former Apprentices, and Technical Deskside Analyst at Clyde & Co, Judith Owusu-Mainoo spoke on the importance of apprenticeships and how studying with Just IT has helped her to forge her own career.
Julia Lampard from our company charity, Ambitious About Autism spoke about the benefits of creating opportunities for young autistic people to gain invaluable work experience.
We had a fantastic time celebrating the accomplishments, achievements and all round hard-work of our apprentices and their employers, and look forward to doing it all again next year.
This year apprentices were nominated across 5 different categories, with an additional 6 categories for our apprenticeship employers.
