What is an Apprenticeship?

Experience is key to starting your career. With an apprenticeship you’ll combine practical experience with the certifications employers are looking for.

Apprenticeships are open to anyone not in full-time education, combining the practical experience of a real job with training, allowing you to earn as you learn. You’ll gain internationally-recognised qualifications and certifications while you build your practical experience in the workplace. An apprenticeship will show that you’re employable and will give you the experience and qualifications you’ll need to start your career – all debt-free.

Why Choose an Apprenticeship?

  • Earn a real salary of up to £23,000 per year.
  • Gain qualifications from industry recognised organisations CompTIA, Microsoft, BCS, City & Guilds and more.
  • Gain practical experience with a top employer.
  • Launch your career with a full-time job afterwards. (86% of our apprentices go straight into employment).
  • Become a professional in the IT or Digital industry in 17-24 months, avoiding 3+ years at university and the accompanying debt.

The Apprenticeship is a kick-start and it has helped me get my foot in the door. I have learned a lot on the job. I have gained a lot of experience and it’s been great working with professionals – I have had these people supporting me from day one.

I would always recommend an Apprenticeship, especially for the IT sector. The skills you need are constantly changing, and IT is a growing sector.

Celdon Silveria Transputec

Excellent support from my Tutor Ying, he is there as a friend, career advisor, tutor, business coach, you name it! He pushed me to get a distinction, I am forever grateful. Thanks, Ying, thanks just IT.

Jessie Digital Marketing Apprentice

I think it’s great how much support you receive on the programme. University is nothing compared to real work experience. Technology is moving fast, and by the time of graduation, knowledge will most probably be outdated.

Kierrah Apprentice

I only wanted to go university because my friends were there. If I had gone, I would have probably studied Marketing which is such a broad subject. With the Digital Marketing Apprenticeship, I now have a clearer direction of my career pathway.

Rebecca Kitt Digital Marketing Apprentice @ CompTIA

I have been learning every step of the way. The experiences I got were crazy, I worked alongside Virgin Media and helped create designs for them. It has definitely given me the confidence to believe in my work.

Stefan Nicotra Apprentice @ Squawka

An Apprenticeship was the better option for me and got me into the IT industry. I have a broad range of responsibilities now, and being able to use programming languages fluently is fantastic. It’s fun, creative and I now see myself as a Project Manager.
