Data analysis is one of the most in-demand skills in the UK, with a 78% increase in demand between 2017 and 2018, according to Experis. Our Data Technician apprenticeship allow you to bypass this hyper-competitive market and develop your own intermediate talent.

Data Technicians collect, organise and study data in order to provide insight to business functions and performance, ultimately using this to drive improvements. The precise nature of these projects will vary depending on the individual organisation, but the overarching solution is increasing efficiency and streamlining processes.

Our Apprenticeship Programme

Our intensive programme builds the foundations to become a data professional. Over 18 days of training, learners are provided with critical skills including statistical and analytical use of Excel, programming in Python and SQL, data visualisation with Tableau and Power BI as well as data modelling and storytelling, culminating in two scenario demonstrations led by an independent assessor. Apprentices apply their learning throughout the programme, resulting in immediate value for your organisation.

After consultation with employers and learners that we work closely with, we reformed our Data programmes to become more training-driven, including the addition of the data visualisation modules. This is a key aspect of the course, as these visualisation platforms make data accessible and understandable to experts and non-experts alike.

The course duration is 18 months, consisting of trainer-led technical workshops, monthly coaching sessions and online learning through our remote learning delivery platform.
